Attention: Dual-Enrollment English students
The spring semester tuition for Dual-Enrollment English will be due on February 11, 2010. Due to a tuition increase from Germanna, the amount due will be $300.00 Please share this important information with your parents so they will have time to make arrangements for this final payment.
Attention students: All applications to the Commonwealth Governor's School for the 2010-2011 school year are due to Mrs. Holmes by Feb. 11th. Teacher recommendations are also due by Feb. 11th.

We will be selling spirit shirts this week and during spirit week at all three lunch shifts.

SUPER-SATURDAY (FAFSA), on February 13th.. for all Spotsylvania County seniors and parents
Super-Saturday 2010 will be held on February 13, 2010 at Massaponex High School for all county parents of seniors who wish to receive one-on-one assistance to accurately complete the FAFSA. Each site will have computers available to apply for financial aid, electronically. A $100 Book Scholarship will be awarded to one student at each Super Saturday site . **In order to complete the FAFSA, electronically, parents will need to bring records of income as well as a few other documents, (For a complete list of required records, go to www.vasfaa.org/docs/training/SuperSaturday/2010/SuperSaturday2010_DocumentsNeeded.pdf ) and have already applied AND RECEIVED a Personal Indentification Number (PIN) for both the student and one parent at www.pin.ed.gov . OR SEE MRS. BENNETT for a list and flyer.
Attention National Honor Society members: Please turn in your community service logs immediately. Please check your email for your NHS fund-raiser obligations. All money for the Valentine stuffed animals is due to Mrs. Holmes by Feb. 16th.

Cub Scout Pack #14 is looking for student volunteers to help with their Blue & Gold Banquet on Sat., Feb 27th at Wilderness Community Church, 10501 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA, from 4:00 pm. until 7:00 p.m (at the latest). Students looking for community service hours can assist with the set up and service of the Pot Luck Dinner (making sure eating utensils, food, and drinks are replenished). Interested students can contact Mrs. Phillips in the ISS room, or by e-mail at mphillips@hs.spotsylvania.k12.va.us or see Mrs. Bennett in the Career Center for a flyer with complete information.
Attention: Have fun Volunteering!
The Battlefield Elementary PTO is looking for students to help with their Enrichment Program on Thursday March 4th and/or March 11th from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Volunteers are needed to assist with cheerleading, dance, building bird houses, sign language, art, outdoor survival skills, building a model vehicle, cooking, chess, crafts, sewing, scrap booking, stamping, etc. Interested students can contact Beth, at 891-0945, or e-mail princessbetht@verizon.net .
Get published! Chancellor's literary magazine La Menagerie needs student poetry, prose, photography, lyrics, artwork, and more! Send submissions to Mr. Barber in B202. Submission deadline is March 15 and selected entries will be published in May.

Chancellor High PTSO is asking for donations of gently-used floor-length prom dresses. Dresses will be available for sale to students at modest prices before the May prom. Proceeds to benefit after-prom party. Dresses can be dropped off at Chancellor High front office.
